Impossible Joint

Look carefully at this puzzle and it doesn’t appear possible to make a joint like that as it has dovetails on ALL 4 SIDES! The object is to take it apart. The earliest known reference to this puzzle is the May 1902 edition of “the Woodworker” magazine. A clever and classic puzzle documented in Jerry Slocums first puzzle book, “Puzzles Old and New”
