This work was made for the exhibition with the theme “Spring”. The leaf of the cherry tree is wood inlay made by Haruo Uchiyama. The puzzle mechanism is hidden behind the leaf. A simple but extremely stunning wooden puzzle box of the most unusual design!
Karakuri Creation Group has beautiful puzzle boxes with unique opening mechanisms and wonderful artistry. The crafting work of Hakone & Odawara have been passed down through generations from the Edo era.
