Located near Vancouver, British Columbia, Whistler is a beautiful resort town located in the Pacific Coastal Mountains. Well-known as a great ski and snowboard destination, Whistler also hosted many events such as the luge, skeleton and bobsled in the 2010 Winter Olympics. The pedestrian village at the base of the ski lifts are full of a variety restaurants and shops, making this a great destination for tourists of all varieties. Eric Dowdle is famous for his folk art. Eric makes every effort to let you experience the city as the natives would. When painting a city, he often leaves the beaten path to explore behind the scenes. He lifts up the sidewalks to discover the city’s folklore, the local cuisine, the city’s heritage, immersing himself in the community as much as possible.
